Privacy policy

Sonder is an interactive story in Telegram: the main bot and the character bots. This is what data we receive and why.

What we store

Your Telegram ID, profile name, language, time zone, how to address you (he/she), and your 18+ confirmation.
Your chats with the characters: your messages and their replies. For photos, voice messages and stickers we only note that they were sent; the files themselves are not saved.
Game progress: mood, friendship, romance, events, gifts, and the characters' memory of your conversations.
Purchases with stars and subscriptions: what, when, and the Telegram payment ID. We have no card details — Telegram handles payment.
Where you came from (a tracking link or a friend's invite) and service events: sign-up and button presses.

So the characters can reply, remember the conversation and move the story forward.
To count message limits, subscriptions and purchases.
To find bugs and make the game better.

Character replies are written by a language model. To get a reply, the character description, the latest messages of the conversation and the character's memory of you (which may include your profile name) are sent to a third-party language model service. Your Telegram ID is not included.
Payments go through Telegram.

Sonder is for people aged 18 and over. If you are younger, please don't use it.

Questions — write to /paysupport in the main Sonder bot.

The site has no sign-in and collects no form data.
If you allow it in the banner, the site loads Yandex Metrica — it sets cookies and counts visits. Without consent it isn't loaded.
Links to the bot carry a "from the site" tag — that's how we see how many people came from here.
